She is.

Oh how our lives have changed..

On March 22, I woke up at 7 am feeling off but I didn’t know why. So I got up and moved to our couch to wait for my hubs to wake up. Naturally, I put on the movie Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Darcy gets me every time *heart eyes*) , and fell  back asleep. Around 11 am my water broke, but nothing else seemed to be happening. No contractions. No pain. So being confused, I called my doctor and was told to come into labor and delivery ASAP. I was admitted around 1 pm and still felt nothing but normal. They started me on Pitocin and  I continued to feel nothing. So Michael and I walked around the hospital eating banana and root beer flavored popsicles and trying to anticipate just how much our lives were about to change!  Around 11 pm I started feeling a little uncomfortable, so my kind nurse gave me medication to help me relax and sleep. 7 am came and it was then I needed to start breathing through my painful contractions. 11 am came and it was then that hot damn, I was in PAIN. So I decided it was time for my epidural. Wow! That thing does wonders. I got to sleep and relax for an hour or two before I started feeling pain again…. like a lot of pain. And the pressure was getting strong and I could tell 1. my epidural was wearing off & 2. she was coming very soon. *Que the anxiety attack* “Why was I in pain?! I already had my epidural!” After 30 minutes of arguing with my nurse about if I was in pain or not, she called for the anesthesiologist again. Finally I got another dose of the good stuff and was happy and ready to push!  After 30 minutes of pushing, she was here!

On March 23 at 2:58 pm, our beautiful little girl, Charlotte Joy was born, weighing 5 lb 13 oz and measuring 18 3/4 in long.

She is tiny.

She is noisy.

She is gentle.

She is hungry.

She is snugly.

She is stubborn.

She is smiley.

She is squirty.

She is beautiful.

And she is changing every single day, I cant keep up!

Our family has changed for the better. We love you so much Char!
